Worked with filmmakers to help define the unique 1970s sound of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Effectively realized filmmakers vision for incorporating mixtapes as central “characters” in the franchise’s storyline. 

  • Film franchise has grossed almost $2B Worldwide.

  • The soundtracks allowed younger generations of music fans to discover new “old” songs as demonstrated by landing 5 spots on the Spotify Viral 50 playlist, alongside contemporary songs popular in the youth market.

  • Both groundbreaking albums topped the charts and have demonstrated tremendous staying power as they continue to be in the Billboard Soundtrack Top 5, years after release.

  • Worked with filmmakers to engage Kendrick Lamar as the musical voice of the Black Panther franchise.

  • Film grossed more than $1.3B Worldwide.

  • Musical elements contribute to both the cultural impact and commercial success of the film.

Collaborate with film director and Marvel Studios to execute full music supervision services for the hit film Black Panther.

  • Black Panther has become a cultural touchstone, sparking worldwide conversation, becoming the most tweeted about film of all time and setting multiple box office records on its way to becoming the top grossing superhero film, domestically, winning Marvel its first three Oscars - including Best Original Score, and earning more than $1.3 Billion in the World Wide Box Office.

  • Acted as the critical nexus between visionary director Ryan Coogler, Marvel Studios, and composer Ludwig Göransson to facilitate the creation of a groundbreaking original score. Preparation for the score required extensive research and production required coordinating a vast array of elements ranging from the participation of Senegalese music legend, Baaba Maal, to a choir singing in the Xhosa language.

  • Black Panther (Original Score) won the Oscar for Best Original Score at the Academy Awards and the Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Identify and create a musical identity for each character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
